Visual FoxPro olddb driver fails to install

We are trying to install the oledb driver to setup odbc on the machines at
this site but when we try to select and use the driver it errors saying that
we need to get the current version. We do so but it still errors with the
same message...?

What can be done?

The first link is definitely the correct and "most recent" version of the VFP OLEDB client, but what does ODBC have to do with this? The current (latest and last?) ODBC driver is version - 6.1.8629.1. It was for VFP 6.0 and came in MDAC 2.6. You can get it at this link http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates/odbc/default.aspx.
